About Our Herbal Teas
Why herbal Tea?
The family's herbal tea garden was planted as a school project for our homeschool. Casper has been fascinated by the medical world since she was big enough to point at pictures in books. When she was about 12 she began to be ill & was very frustrated to be the patient. It seemed a very long time until she would be able to be the medical professional. Sara, already an avid gardener, enlisted Casper's help in planting an herb garden full of as many wonderful herbs as could be found. Hunting herbs at nurseries, researching their uses, nursing them along, & drying them for storage became a wonderful pastime for Casper. Suggesting herbal remedies for family ailments scratched her medical caregiving itch. (She is also on call for splinters, anything requiring a bandage, & general boo boo inspection even now in a house full of adults.)
In a strange twist of fate, Casper received a liver transplant at age 18 & is no longer allowed to use herbal remedies herself. Not because they don't work - because they do! Countless doctors have reiterated to us the potency of herbs. For Casper, anything that might stimulate the immune system must be carefully avoided to avoid transplant rejection. We encourage anyone pregnant, nursing, or with a medical condition to consult your doctor before consuming herbs.
Herbal teas remain a beloved cup of comfort & a remedy for many of the things that ail our family. We are so excited to share our teas with you!

Creative Abili-Tea's Herbal Blends are produced by the mom, Sara. Sara's teas are steeped in family tradition, a respect for history, & a deep appreciation for what God has created. "The earth is the Lord's & everything in it!" (Psalm 24:1) Sara is an avid gardener & combines her personal experiences with herbs with a lot of research, testing, & careful attention to detail when developing teas. All teas are mixed & packaged in the family's cottage kitchen in Montgomery County, Texas. While originally setting out to use home grown herbs in all of her teas, Sara quickly found out that the backyard garden can't keep up with demand & that limiting the ingredients this way would exclude the use of many wonderful herbs that don't grow locally. All herbs are sourced as locally & ethically as possible.
